Fort Foote Park

Fort Foote was constructed in 1863 atop Rozier's Bluff to strengthen the ring of fortifications that encircled Washington, D.C. Two of the Guns that protected Washington are still there along with the remains of the fort's earthworks.

The park is open daily for pedestrian access from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and the parking lot is open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Fort Foote Park Gated Areas

Open daily for pedestrian access from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and for vehicle access through gated areas from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; gates are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
